about

Jonathan Hughes composes and plays beautiful music, I cannot put it any more succinctly. The pieces on Trillium are well thought out and constructed, and yet evolve so naturally you feel as if you are just thinking them up while as you listen. I have been lucky enough to work with Jonathan on a number of projects, from his Fluidities double CD and my own Mollusk CD, to the collaborative albums 360° and Lost & Found. He is a generous collaborator and always brings his top game to a project. I cannot recommend his music highly enough, so just have a listen for yourself. - M. Bentley

From the press release:
Jonathan has released a handful of CDs under the pseudonym Subspace, including the inventive two disc set Fluid and the wonderful faux soundtrack Low Frequency Oscillator. Additionally Jonathan collaborated with Mollusk on four tracks (one of which is available on Mollusk's Foundry release Accretions), but here Mr. Hughes makes his first solo appearance for The Foundry. The pieces on this album, all experiments with the 3/4 time signature, bring together different sound sources and styles into a unique and compelling collection of ambient pulses and dreaming washes.
